Oakham Ales

The brewery started in September 1993 in Oakham, Rutland. Sales rose steadily and even though capacity was increased in 1996 the site was deemed too small, and therefore relocated to 'The Brewery Tap' in Peterborough. Once again trade increased and the need for larger premises forced it to be moved to its current location at Maxwell Road, Peterborough in 2006. This brewery is 75 times bigger than when where it was first started, and over the last 15 years has won some 150 awards including Supreme Champion Beer of Britain in 2001 for its biggest seller JHB, and Worlds Best Dark Ale with its bottled Hawse Buckler in 2008.
