Dundee's Scott Brothers Butchers - adding extra flavour with their SALSA Approval

Leading Dundee-based family butchers Scott Brothers has been operating since 1935, supplying the highest quality meat to its many discerning customers throughout Scotland.  Over the years the business has expanded to include the manufacture of award winning bakery products and a range of ready meals. The company is now owned and run by the third generation of the Jarron family. Brothers Scott and George are passionate about food and take great pride in the family tradition of preparing high quality meat and meat products.  The Company employs around 80 members of staff, supplying to the trade from their main Dundee branch, retailing from two shops in Dundee city centre and Broughty Ferry, as well outside event catering.

The two brothers have a particular interest in ensuring that the meat products are sourced locally. For them, sourcing local is the best way to ensure that the meats come from suppliers with the same high standards, and this has allowed them to build long-standing relationships with farmers in Brechin and Arbroath over the years.

 ‘The fashions might have changed over the years, but our enthusiasm for supplying locally sourced, traditionally matured delicious meat and meat products, and our friendly and knowledgeable service hasn’t changed one bit.  We always know exactly where our meat comes from and that the animals have been properly reared and treated,’ comments George.
